In Fall 2009, Shasta College celebrated the
new Tehama Campus, a state-of-the-art facility boasting a centralized Student
Services area, high-tech classrooms and computer labs, and its very own science
lab to support the growing needs in health care, environmental, and other
lab-based programs. Situated on a portion of the former Diamond Mill adjacent
to the Sacramento River, the 40-acre site contains a five-acre pond, oak
woodlands, and tremendous views.
To Get Started
If you haven’t already done so, the first step
is to apply for admission
to Shasta College either online or at the Tehama Campus.
Then, follow the simple checklist below.

The Tehama Campus uses a variety of
instructional modes to deliver courses to the residents of Tehama County. Using
traditional face-to-face instruction as well as the college’s extensive ITV
network and expanding online system, you are able to take a class (or two or
three) in just about anything. Some of the programs highlighted on the Tehama

have the opportunity to receive occupational training and develop skills
for both the entrance and promotional levels of AOJ agencies and allied
services. Using the ITV network as well as on-site classes, students can also
fulfill the requirements to transfer to a four-year college known as
Associate Degree for Transfer.

Health Aide Certificate
In just 18 weeks, you’ll receive the necessary instruction and clinical
experiences to perform in this high-demand career field. You’ll work with
other health care professionals in a variety of settings and be well on
your way to more advanced training in a rewarding profession. Feel good
and help others feel good too.
Office Assistant Certificate
In only two semesters, enhance your
computer talents while understanding the importance of effective
communications, office procedures, and records management. And while you
are earning the certificate, pick up a class or two or ten from a wide
range of subjects. You’ll be glad you did.
- Business Administration Degree
Whether you’re planning to work in the public or private sector, the
Tehama Campus offers a broad range of courses to improve your employability.
Human relations, marketing, business math and English, accounting…it’s all
here. And you can also earn an Associate Degree for Transfer to a
California State University program.
Childhood Education Certificate and
The development of our children is influenced by the learning
opportunities provided by those entrusted with their care. Focusing on
training in preschools, childcare, and infant-toddler and school age care,
the college curriculum provides the breadth and depth to a rewarding
