Allied Health Programs

Allied health professions are a distinct group of health professionals who apply their expertise by providing a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic, direct patient care, and support services that are critical to the patients they serve. The allied health programs offered at Shasta College are designed to prepare students for employment in a variety of healthcare settings. As a member of the healthcare team, graduates will provide technical skills used in the widespread provision of healthcare delivery in private practice, hospital, ambulatory, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Healthcare is one of the largest growing sectors of today's workforce. Shasta College's allied health programs provide diversified training opportunities for individuals seeking a new career, upgrading a skill level, or desiring a foundation for continued health science eduacation. Each program is a unique health science discipline that leads to industry recognized certification or licensing.
