Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide (NA/HHA) Courses


Space in the program is limited.  Classes are offered at the Redding campus.  

To be eligible to enroll in the NA and HHA courses, the student must complete the clinical requirements for immunizations and CPR certification. Students who have completed the requirements and submitted the appropriate forms, will be added to the class working list based on the date of submission of clinical requirement materials to the Health Sciences office. Students on the liist will be offered enrollment on a space available basis and will be contacted by the Health Sciences office to complete additional health & safety requirements (physical exam, TB screening , drug screening & criminal background check). All requirements must be completed within 90 days of starting clinical.

Students can be added to the class working list at any time once the immunization and CPR requirements are met.

Students must be aware that the following conditions are necessary to be certified as a CNA or Home Health Aide:

  • Must be at least 16 years old, have completed 10th grade and have the ability to read and write in English
  • Must be able to provide proof of social security number (required for fingerprinting, background check and application for certification)
