GENERAL FACILITY STANDARDS

General hours:  8 AM to 5 PM. The facility will be open at 7:30 AM when clinic sessions are scheduled for the morning. The facility closes at 5:15 PM (M – TH and noon on F). Students have access to the facility Monday through Friday.

Holidays:  School holidays and vacation breaks are observed as on the main campus.

Facility:  Students are to use all equipment and areas in the facility as needed for academic and clinic requirements. Equipment is to be used with respect and caution in order to control the expense for repair or replacement. Any equipment that is broken or breaks during use must be reported to the program director or the paraprofessional immediately.

Reserving materials:  Students are allowed to “check-out” certain materials / equipment. This is done with the paraprofessional.

Restrooms:  Student restrooms are to be kept orderly at all times. Personal items must be kept in your locker, not in the restroom area and will be placed in the lost and found.

Lost and Found:  Students missing items may check the lost and found area (above the mailboxes) or with the paraprofessional. The program is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Lockers:  Students are assigned two lockers. It is recommended that personal items, including instruments, be kept locked when not used by the student. Students must provide the combination number or a second key to the lock used to the paraprofessional. Instrument kits are not to be stored on top of the lockers. Students should select a storage box that can fit in the locker.

Food and Drink:  Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom, clinic, or lab by students.  There are break/lunch facilities located on the second floor of the Health Sciences building.

Vendors:  The program works in cooperation with specific corporate/product vendors. Students interested in specific products or vendors must gain approval by the clinic coordinator.

Parking: Public parking to the west of building is available, if parking at a metered parking location you must follow posted city regulations.
