Learning Resource Center
Course assignments require frequent use of the Library (Learning Resource Center).
  A library card is necessary for all library transactions. The student is responsible for renewing his/her library card each semester.

 

Nursing Student Organizations
Students wishing to participate in state or national nursing organizations should contact that organization.

Health Services
The Shasta College Health and Wellness Office offers nursing services such as TB testing and illness assessment, physician services (on specific clinic days). Educational Assistance 
Students who are having difficulty in the program are advised to seek out the faculty, program director, counselors, and other services available on campus.  The Clinical Skills Laboratory has equipment for student utilization. The Shasta College Learning Resources Center has references, media, and computer assisted instruction.

 

Academic Accommodations Imposed by a Disability
If you feel that you will need academic accommodations in this class due to limits imposed by a disability, please contact the office of Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) at (530) 242-7790 to make the necessary arrangements.  It is the student’s responsibility to provide documentation that verifies the disability and the type of limitations that may result.  The DSPS office has been delegated the authority to:

1.    Evaluate that documentation and determine if it is sufficient to justify accommodations;

2.    Determine which accommodations are appropriate; and,

3.    Facilitate the provision of approved accommodations.

Once approval has been obtained from DSPS the student must provide their instructor with a signed accommodation requirements. Students who have been approved for exam accommodations must take their exams on the day the instructor has scheduled the exam. Math exams are not taken with accommodations; however, the student may take a practice math test at the Health Sciences Division without accommodations.
