Associate Degree Nursing (RN)
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Associate Degree Nursing (RN) Program is one of the health career programs offered by Shasta College.  The Associate Degree Nursing program began at Shasta College in 1966.  Since that time, more than 1733 students have graduated from the program.  Many graduates are staff members in the Redding health care industry.

 

The Associate Degree Nursing program is approved by the California State Board of Registered Nursing. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The examination is given in Computerized Adaptive Testing (C.A.T.) format.
