REGN 25 - Health and Illness II
REGN 25 is one of the required courses for the Associate Degree Nursing program at Shasta College and one of two co-requisite courses that comprise the second semester. The student will begin to build the foundation of Medical-Surgical Nursing. Concepts of family, community, health promotion, illness prevention, teaching, cultural sensitivity, nursing process, and critical thinking are promoted. The emphasis of the course is on adult and geriatric medical-surgical clients with acute and/or chronic illness in the inpatient and outpatient setting.

REGN 25P - Professional Nursing Practicum II
REGN 25P is one of the required courses for the Associate Degree Nursing program at Shasta College and one of two co-requisite courses that comprise the second semester. Concepts of family, communit, health promotion, illness prevention, teaching, cultural sensitivity, nursing process, and critical thinking are integrated into clinical practice. The emphasis of the course is on adult and geriatric medical-surgical clients with actue and/or chronic illness in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Knowledge and skills acquired in lecture-discussion and in simulation and skills laboratories are applied in medical-surgical settings.
