Vocational Nursing (LVN)

After successfully completing the program, the student receives a certificate from Shasta College and is qualified to take the NCLEX-PN to become a licensed vocational nurse.


Articulated options for continuing education are available in registered nursing programs at the community college level and LVN-BSN programs at four year universities. Students interested in these programs should see their counselor regarding general education course requirements.


Board of Vocational Nurse Psychiatric Technicians: Application for Vocational Nurse Licensure forms will be distributed during VOCN 162 Nursing of Adults and Children. The examination fee must be paid by money order or certificated check.
