APPLICATION/WAIT LIST PROCESS

 

Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide - CNA/HHA

  • Health Sciences maintains a Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide Wait List determined by the date Part I - Eligibility Clinical Requirements (Immunizations, CPR certification, Technical Standards, and Confidential Application) are submitted.  Students will be added to the Wait List when they submit completed documentation of Part I.
  • Students are invited to enroll into a class from the Wait List on a space available basis following Health Sciences division review of submitted clinical requirements documentation. 
  • Enrollment is validated based on completion of  Part 2 - Clinical Requirements (Physical Exam, Negative Drug Screen, Negative TB Screening, Criminal Background Check).  All components must be completed within one month of enrollment.


Vocational Nursing (LVN)

  • Students apply during specified application filing period after completion of prerequisites.
  • Applications are reviewed for completion of filing requirements prior to placement on the Wait List.


Associate Degree Nursing (RN)


Dental Hygiene

  • Students apply during specified application filing period after completion of prerequisites.
  • Applications are reviewed for completion of filing requirements and assigned points based on the selection criteria.  Applicants receiving the highest points are invited to enroll in the class.  There is no Wait List for Dental Hygiene.  Applicants who are not selected for a class must re-apply during subsequent application filing periods if they wish to pursue enrollment.
