Looking for a quiet place to study?
Six study rooms are available for check out:
-You must have your valid library card with no outstanding fines to check out a room.
-Rooms may be reserved for future use or checked out on-the-spot.
-All rooms feature VHS/DVD players and TVs. They also have video cables available to connect a laptop to the TV display.
-Most rooms also have dry erase boards. Markers and erasers are available for checkout at the circulation desk.
-Rooms are checked out for a two hour period. (late returns will incur fines at 25¢/hr)
The Shasta College Library's Fireside Room is a unique space on
campus intended for student use as a study room as well as staff
meetings. The room is equipped with a large screen television with
laptop connection and seating for 16 people.
Fireside Reservation Policy
Reservations are scheduled on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

Reservations of the Fireside Room may be used by
student study groups so long as the group consists of three or more
A tentative meeting
schedule is posted weekly. In keeping with library policy, no food or drink is
allowed in the Fireside Room. Beverages in
enclosed containers is permitted.
Student Usage Policy for all Study Rooms
- Food is not permitted in the study rooms. Beverages containers must have tops or lids (coffee cups with lids, twist top bottles, travel mugs.)
- Although the rooms have doors, please be aware that excessive noise can carry into the main library.
- Patrons are required to adhere to Shasta College policies regarding conduct and equipment use.
- Patrons not following these policies may be asked to leave the study room.
