How Do I Begin?

When you want to apply to be a student at Shasta College:

Step 1:  Go to: Click on "Admissions," click on "Apply for Admission."

Step 2:   Call the Counseling Office 530.242.7724.  Set up an appointment with a Counselor to select classes.  Bilingual counselors are available.

Step 3: Register for classes in MyShasta​

We can help you to register before classes start. Follow the steps below:

1. Admission: Fill out a Shasta College application for admission 

2. Assessment: Call Assessment Center at 530.242.7751 to find out how they will place you.

3. Apply for Financial Aide: Fill out the BOGG, an application for tuition fee waiver, and investigate other student financial assistance.

4. Counseling, Orientation, and Registration: Make an appointment to meet with an academic counselor. For an appointment, call 530.242.7724. 

To take a non-credit ESL class go to the classroom and register with the teacher. You may also contact the Student Success Center and register for these classes anytime during the semester. ​​
