GENERAL PARKING INFORMATION 
 
Shasta College requires parking permits in all parking lots.
If you have a parking question or questions about a citation please call 530-​242-7910. 
Please do not use Blue Emergency phones for parking-related issues.

All student and staff lots are enforced during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. These lots are enforced Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  A fall or spring semester parking permit can be purchased at the Shasta College Admissions and Records office for $30.00.  During the Summer session, a semester permit can be purchased for $15.00. A daily permit can be purchased for $2.00 from any yellow parking permit dispenser located in student parking lots.  

The daily permits are only valid in student parking and do not allow a vehicle to park in metered, carpool, staff, visitor, or dorm parking areas.

Dorm parking permits are valid only in the dorm parking lot and not valid in regular student parking lots, visitor, or metered parking.

NOTE: STUDENT PARKING IS ENFORCED 14 (FOURTEEN) CALENDAR  DAYS AFTER BEGININING FOR FALL AND SPRING SEMESTER. THE SUMMER SESSION IS ENFORCED 7 (SEVEN) CALENDAR DAYS AFTER THE SEMESTER BEGINS.

Carpool parking requires two or more students per vehicle. A carpool permit may be obtained, free of charge, from the Campus Safety Department in Building 6500.  In order for the carpool permit to be valid, it
 must be accompanied by a current student semester permit.

Dormitory parking lots are enforced from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday. Dormitory Residents may obtain parking permits from the Director of Residence Life.

Parking regulations for these areas are in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Parking in designated handicapped parking spaces marked in blue and by signage is for the exclusive use of drivers who display appropriate license plates or placards issued solely by the Department of Motor Vehicles.  The parking fine for Handicapped areas is $275.00.  The parking fine for Red Zones and Unauthorized areas is $25.00. 
 
Parking regulations are available to students and staff on-line or upon request at the Campus Safety office.

Staff parking areas are enforced from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Staff may obtain a parking permit from the Personnel Office in the 100 building. Staff permits do not allow a vehicle to be parked in meter, dorm, carpool, or visitor parking areas. 
 
 
NOTE: STAFF PERMITS EXPIRE ON AUGUST 31st OF EACH YEAR.

Visitor parking permits can be obtained from the Campus Safety office only. These permits are valid in student or staff parking lots for a maximum of two days.
 
 
 
Visitor permits are not valid in metered parking areas, carpools, dorms, or 30-minute visitor parking spaces.
