NOTE: In order to progress through the dental hygiene courses, students must demonstrate competence in both the theory and clinical components. Failing or withdrawing from any one of the semester’s co-requisite courses requires withdrawal from all of that semester’s co-requisite courses.
Recommended Summer Courses:
It is highly recommended that during the summer students take the following courses in preparation for their licensure board exam:
- DNTL 27 - A skill building class - Summer after first year
- DNTL 54 - Finding patients for the Board Exam - Summer after final year (after graduation)
These courses are offered as 54 hours Credit/No Credit
Graduation Requirements:
Completion of the humanities requirement and the mathematics competency requirement for the Associate Degree in Science are required prior to graduation
