Shasta College Portal - Staff/Faculty Login Tips

How Do I Log In To The Portal :

The first time you log in to the Portal you will work through a series of steps to setup your account.  Once you have performed the security steps, you will be directed to your Portal access area. 

To login you will need the following information:

Logging into the Portal:

Go to:  https://pg1.shastacollege.edu/ 
  • EXISTING USERS:
    • ​Specifically for Staff/Faculty who have logged in Summer 2017 and later:
      • check the box noting that you are staff/faculty
      • type in your username and your password as you do to log into your computer while on campus - and click the LOGIN button. 
        **(no need to type in shastacc\ before your username anymore!!)** 
 
 
  • NEW USERS - users who are new to the college OR have not logged into the Portal before
    • On the Portal log in screen, simply select the New Users Start Here button.
    • type in your Username, and if you are staff be sure to check the I am Staff/Faculty box.
      • select the Continue button
 
  
    • You will be prompted to type in three mandated questions, your date of birth (MMDDYY), your Last Name, and your numeric 7 digit Student/Employee ID. 
    • Once validated you will be asked to set up your password for your account.  Type in your new password, must be include at least 6 characters and 1 number, select CONTINUE
    • You will then be asked to choose and set 3 challenge questions for your account.  Select CONTINUE and then select the link to continue logging in.
    • You will be asked to link your mobile phone to your account for password resets via text and a one time passcode will be sent via text to you to enter on the next screen.  We recommend that our users utilize the mobile phone functionality as it is the quickest method to reset passwords.  If you do not want to use this feature, select the box to Permanently Suppress Reminders.  Select the CONTINUE button.
    • If applicable, enter your one time passcode you received via text and select CONTINUE and then select the link to continue logging in.
    • You will be asked to enter a valid email address - keep in mind that you must be able to access the email account you list here as it will be sending a code to you. Select the CONTINUE button.
    • If applicable, enter your one time passcode you received via email and select CONTINUE and then select the link to continue logging in.
    • You will then be directed to your Shasta College Portal access page, you can update your challenge questions and change your password by selecting the Manage Account Settings link.
