The District provides the following options for technical assistance:

Help options for students:

  • Students in need of assistance with their SC Online course may call the 24 hour hotline. This number may be found in Canvas by clicking on the “?” icon from within Canvas, or, by clicking on the “Help” link on the login page. Students may also email sconlinehelp@shastacollege.edu for assistance.
  • Students needing other types of student records assistance should contact the Admissions & Records phone bank at (530) 242-7650.  This is staffed during the hours the Admissions office is open.  Their web page can be reached by clicking here.

Help options for campus faculty and staff:

  • Staff in need of assistance with their SC Online course may call the 24 hour hotline. This number may be found in Canvas by clicking on the “?” from within Canvas, or, by clicking on the “Help” link on the login page. Faculty may also email sconlinehelp@shastacollege.edu for assistance.
  • For assistance with other campus systems or classroom and office technical equipment, faculty and staff may contact Information Services and Technology Support during the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday through one of the following:
    • by emailing helpdesk@shastacollege.edu.  This email account is reviewed for activity several times a day.  Requests for service are redirected and prioritized through the various departments assigned the responsibility for supporting the campus systems.
    • by phone call to (530) 242-7999.  This number is supported by either a live person or voice mail.  After calling the number, you will be provided with options for redirecting your call to the department with the support responsibility.  If you do not reach a live person, please leave a detailed message including location and call-back information.

Please note for liability reasons, campus technical staff cannot provide assistance with issues pertaining to your personal technical equipment.
