|For over 60 years Shasta College has served the residents of our District with outstanding programs of education and public service. Whether your goal is transferring to a four-year institution, or completing one of our many strong programs at the certificate and associate degree levels leading to employment and career success, we are here to help you reach your goals.
Our mission focuses on students having equity in accessing the educational opportunities we provide. We prioritize student success as the overarching goal of all aspects of Shasta College. Students of all ages and backgrounds are welcomed in our District as well as those from the rest of California, from other states, and from other nations around the world. Shasta College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
As the Superintendent/President of Shasta College, I am pleased that you are interested in partnering with Shasta College as you pursue your educational goals. Our growing Distance Education offerings allow for some courses to be completed entirely on-line and others to be done through video conferencing at our locations in Weaverville, Burney, Red Bluff and downtown Redding. Student services staff members desire to help you obtain answers to questions as you begin your educational journey with us. Our faculty members have your success in mind as they continually sharpen their skills and work to enhance your learning experiences in their classrooms and labs.
A multitude of co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities are available to you at Shasta College, including such areas as performing arts, athletics, various student clubs, and Student Senate. I encourage you to get involved in areas that interest you, as being involved in such activities only serves to enhance your educational experience and provides opportunities to practice and improve skills you are learning in your courses.
Welcome! I wish you well as you join us here at Shasta College.
