Menu of Personalized Workshops

The Office of Educational Technology is available to help faculty with courses as well as other educational technology tools. Personalized workshops can be conducted face-to-face, or via web-conferencing (Zoom) for those who need to participate remotely.  You are welcome to choose a topic from the pre-determined list below or contact us to build your own workshop.
  • Accessibility - overwhelmed by accessibility law and how it applies to your course? No worries. We can break down the course into manageable sections and provide suggestions for meeting student needs. Or, we can address a specific accessibility issue, like:
    • Closed Captioning
    • Rich Content Editor (accessibility checker, headings, alt text)
    • Word or PDF documents
  • Screencasting and Video Production - video is a valuable tool to build connections with students, as well as providing an outlet to students for mastering difficult material outside of class.
  • Custom Home Pages - increase the curb appeal of your course with a home page that attracts your students for participation.
  • Tools for Communication / Web Conferencing - curious about Zoom or other ways to communicate with your students? We can share tips and tricks to get you going with a new tool.
  • Open Educational Resources (OER) - ditch those expensive textbooks and learn more about low-cost or non-cost resources for your course.
  • OEI Course Design - the Exchange is looking for more courses to offer at the state-wide level. Could yours be one. We will share with you rubric the reviewers use and tips and tricks for a successful review.
