New Employers to CalWORKs Work Study

Thank you for your interest in the Shasta College CalWORKs Work Study program.  We are excited to work with you to make this as easy as possible.  Below are some of the details you will need to know to make this program a success for your business.
  • Your business may be reimbursed up to 75% of the student’s wages, up to 25 hours per week during the eligibility period.  Reimbursement rate is contingent upon receipt of funds granted from the Community College Chancellor’s Office and student’s continued eligibility.
  • The student is eligible for this Work Study program as long as he/she is enrolled in at least 6 units from his/her educational plan (exceptions may apply based on education plan) at Shasta College; receiving cash aid from CalWORKs; and the employment placement is directly related to the student’s field of study.
  • To receive up to 75% reimbursement of the student’s wages, up to 25 hours per week, some forms need to be completed.
 One-Time Forms:
