|How do I apply?
||Complete an application in the Admissions and Records Office. If you indicate that you wish to participate in the graduation ceremony additional information will be emailed to you. (please make sure your accurate email address is on file with Admissions and Records). You may still file for an Associate Degree and attend the graduation after the filing period has ended but your name will not appear in the program. You may also download the application at Admissions. Click on the 'Forms' tab and then select 'Associate Degree Application'.|

|When is practice?
||Practice will be 10:30am to 12:00pm on the day of graduation, Friday, May 22nd, on the football field. |
|What if it rains?
||The Office of the Dean of Students will make the call by 9:00 am on the day of graduation. If the decision is made to move indoors because of rain, the practice and ceremony will be held in the Gymnasium. Students will be informed via email and a notice will be posted on the website at the following link: Graduation. |
|How many guests may I invite? How do I get tickets?
||You may invite as many guests as you wish -- there is unlimited seating in the football stadium. We will not issue tickets. HOWEVER, if graduation is moved to the Gymnasium because of rain we encourage students to limit guests to six (6) per graduate. This is a courtesy request. If it rains, graduates should encourage their guests to arrive early as seating will be limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.|
|Do I need a cap and gown?
||Yes - NO EXCEPTIONS. ORDER EARLY at the Shasta College Bookstore. You can also attend the Graduation Fair on January 28-29 from 11-1:00 p.m. on the Student Center Stage to pre-order. You do not have to pay until you pick up your cap and gown so it is highly recommended that you pre-order to ensure proper sizing.|
|How do I get a cap and gown?
To purchase your cap, gown and tassel, and for more information regarding special orders, you need to contact the Shasta College Bookstore at (530) 242-7574. The total cost for a Grad Pack (Cap/Gown/Tassel) is $49.45 (Cap and Tassel can also be purchased separately) If you reserve your order prior to January 30th, you will receieve 10% off of your order. Graduation announcements are also available at cbgrad.com For Phi Theta Kappa Regalia - Refer to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) website at www.ptk.org
The deadline to purchase your cap and gown online through the Shasta College Bookstore website is March 1st 2015. After that date you must purchase your cap and gown in store. In order to assure that you receive your cap and gown in time for graduation you MUST order no later than April 3, 2015.
|Do I qualify for the Honors List?
||The list of students who qualify for honors will be posted on or about mid-May 2015, outside the Bookstore, outside the Office of the Student Services Office, Room 2308, or online at a link titled 2014 Honors List.pdf. Honor cords may be purchased for $12.90, in the Bookstore. You may purchase an honor cord only if your name appears on the Honors List, which will be verified at the time of purchase. |
|When will my name be in the Record Searchlight?
||The Record Searchlight no longer publishes a special graduation issue during the first week of June. If you would like to place your graduate's "Happy Ad" in the classifieds, please call Record Searchlight at 225-8211 or 243-2424. Cost is $20-$40.|
|After Graduation Reception
||All graduates and their guests are invited to attend a reception in honor of the graduates to be held in the campus quad immediately following the commencement ceremony. There will be live music, treats and refreshments.|
