Three Star Level - Beta Mu Mu Chapter

Effective Monday, May 19th, 2008 Phi Theta Kappa – Beta Mu Mu Chapter is at the Three Star Level!

In order to be ranked Three Star Level the Beta Mu Mu Chapter had to complete ALL of the following:

1. Chapter implements at least two Honors Study Topic activities

2. Chapter implements at least two International Service Program activities

3. Chapter published a newsletter OR maintains a web site OR submits chapter news to a publication

4. Chapter implemented a College Project, which is determined by the chapter and college president or administrator.

5. Chapter chronicled its activities for historical purposes.



1. Chapter and/or chapter officers meet twice each month.

2. Chapter holds at least two induction ceremonies, and members’ names and fees are submitted to Headquarters

3. Chapter implements at least one Honors Study Topic activity.

4. Chapter registers as a Chapter of Service and at least one International Service Program activity is implemented.

5. Chapter worked with another chapter or campus organization to sponsor an event consistent with the mission of Phi Theta Kappa.

6. chapter advisor and officers met with college president to discuss goals of the chapter.



1. Chapter officers and advisor(s) review the Five Star Program requirements, determine a goal, and submit the Chapter Update Form online by April 30, 2008.

2. Chapter advisor and chapter president each have the 2008-2010 Honors Program Guide.

3. Chapter bylaws have been approved and are on file at Headquarters. Check your chapter’s record in the online Chapter Directory to determine the date Chapter bylaws were approved by Headquarters.

4. Chapter submits new officer names and addresses in PAM, Personal Assistant Manager for Advisors.

5. Chapter provides a structured orientation for new officers, advisors and committee chairs at the beginning of each semester or quarter. Review chapter calendar and budget as part of the orientation.

6. Membership Invitation Letters are sent from a college administrator to prospective members. Each letter includes a Phi Theta Kappa Member Benefits Brochure.
