March in March - Capitol Building

California community colleges, with their unique ability to quickly produce more employable and educated workers, continue to play a vital role in the state’s chances for recovery despite the fact that the economy continues to decline.

Students across the state continue to feel the pain of devastating budget cuts in the form of severely impacted programs, course reductions and cancellations, exorbitant wait-lists, and significantly reduced services. In the midst of this dire forecast, your Student Senate continues to work hard to represent the best interest of all Shasta College students!

Student Senate's 2016-2017 Vice President, Samuel Holly, with the Chancellor of California Community Colleges, Eloy Ortiz Oakley, at Spring 2017 General Assembly in Ontario, CA.
