STEPS AFTER ACCEPTANCE

Once you have been notified of your acceptance, the following steps must be completed before receiving services. ALL steps must be completed prior to receiving EOPS services:

STEP 1

Register and attend an EOPS New Student Orientation (this is different than a general  Shasta College orientation).  Contact our office at 530-242-7540.
 
Seating is limited, so please make sure you have childcare arrangements if you have children.  You’ll need to arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in.  Doors will be closed at start time and no one will be permitted to enter once the doors are closed.
 

STEP 2

Give EOPS a copy of your Registration Receipt showing that you are enrolled in at least 12 units.  If you must enroll in fewer than 12 units, we will need a copy of your registration receipt and:
  • A waiver from your DSPS (Disabled Students Programs and Services) counselor
OR
  • An EOPS Part Time Status Waiver (registered in at least 9 units but less than 12).  A limited number of waivers are granted by the Director based on extenuating circumstances.

STEP 3

Give EOPS a copy of your current Educational Plan.  Your initial educational plan must contain at least two semesters, (1) the semester that you begin receiving EOPS services and (2) the semester following.  If you need an Educational Plan, contact EOPS at (530) 242-7540 to schedule a counseling appointment.  

NOTE: If you have completed any college units, request a 1 hour counseling appointment.  If you have completed units from another college, please make sure Shasta College Admissions and Records have an official copy of your transcript(s).
