STEPS AFTER ACCEPTANCE

 

Once you have been notified of your acceptance via email, the following steps must be completed.

ALL steps must be completed prior to receiving EOPS services: 

 

STEP 1

 
Register and attend an EOPS New Student Orientation (this is different than a general  Shasta College orientation).  Contact our office at 530-242-7540 to schedule your orientation .
 
On orientation day:
No guests or children will be permitted.  You’ll need to arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in and to have a casual photograph taken of you for your file.  There will be no late entry. This is a one time orientation if you stay consecutively enrolled and in good standing. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REAPPLY EACH SEMSTER.
 
  

STEP 2

 
Give EOPS a copy of your registration receipt showing that you are enrolled in at least 12 units.  If you must enroll in fewer than 12 units, we will need a copy of your registration receipt and:
  • A waiver from your Partners in Access to College Education (PACE) counselor
OR
  • An EOPS Part Time Status Waiver (registered in at least 9 units but less than 12).  A limited number of waivers are granted by the Director based on extenuating circumstances.
  

STEP 3

 

Give EOPS a copy of your current Educational Plan.  Your initial educational plan must contain at least two semesters, (1) the semester that you begin receiving EOPS services and (2) the semester following. If you need an Educational Plan, contact EOPS at (530) 242-7540 to schedule a counseling appointment.  

NOTE:  If you have completed units from another college, please make sure Shasta College Admissions & Records has an official copy of your transcript(s).
