Student Status List

Student Status Requirements​

GOOD STANDING – Eligible for full services

Fulfilled Mutual Responsibility Agreement

þ Completed three EOPS counseling contacts

þ Maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0

þ Returned lending library materials on or before the last day of the semester

þ Remained enrolled in 12 units

þ Successfully completed at least 10 units

þ Successfully appealed or applied for waivers if one of the above did not occur

 

ACADEMIC ALERT – Eligible for full services

One or more of the below occurred

L  Earned a cumulative GPA below 2.0

L  Dropped below 12 units without an approved Reduction of Units

L  Did not successfully complete at least 10 units

               

PROBATION – 50% loss of book grant and monetary grants

One or more of the below occurred

L  Completed only two EOPS counseling contacts

L  Did not return lending library materials on or before the last day of the semester

L  Did not complete GOOD STANDING requirements after being on Academic Alert

 

RESTRICTION – 100% loss of book grant, lending library, and monetary grants

One or more of the below occurred

L  Completed zero or one EOPS counseling contact

L  Misused EOPS book grant

L  Did not complete GOOD STANDING requirements after being on PROBATION

               

DISMISSAL – Loss of EOPS eligibility

One or more of the below occurred

L  Never returned lending library materials

L  Dropped below 12 units without an approved Reduction of Units two semesters in a row

L  Did not complete GOOD STANDING requirements after being on RESTRICTION

L  Not enrolled for classes

 

Note:  

-       All students begin on GOOD STANDING.

-       Your EOPS status is based on the previous semester.

-       If your semester status is other than GOOD STANDING you must fulfill the Mutual Responsibility Agreement for the current semester to return to GOOD STANDING in the next.

-       To appeal your semester status based on an extenuating circumstance, request a Status Appeal Form from the EOPS office.​
