Financial Aid Shopping Sheet

President Obama signed Executive Order 13607: Establishing Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses and Other Family Members on April 27, 2012. These principles were developed to strengthen oversight, enforcement, and accountability of education programs, and to ensure our service members, Veterans, and their families have the information they need to make informed decisions concerning their well-earned educational benefits.

Shasta College recently submitted its acknowledgement to comply with the Principles of Excellence.  In compliance with our commitment, we are providing prospective students a Financial Aid Shopping Sheet.

The Financial Aid Shopping Sheet is a standardized form that is designed to simplify information that prospective veteran students receive about costs and financial aid so they can make informed decisions about which postsecondary institution to attend. This includes grant and scholarship amounts, net costs, graduation rates, loan default rates, median borrowing, and estimated monthly loan payments after graduation.

The shopping sheet is not meant to replace your understanding of awarded aid, eligibility requirements, and overall costs you will encounter.   We encourage you to use the information and many resources within the Shasta College Financial Aid Website as you prepare for the expense of college.  The shopping sheet does not replace the financial aid award letter that Shasta College or any other school provides.
