 Assessment and Placement at Shasta College is changing! 

The assessment process will help you become a Shasta College graduate in the shortest amount of time possible. The process is changing at Shasta College to make sure you get the most appropriate English and math courses that fit your need and ability. We also offer many types of placement and testing services, in addition to just English and math. Please review this page to find which pathway you should take.

AB 705 requires that community colleges maximize the probability that a student will enter and complete transfer-level coursework in English and math within a one year timeframe and use, in the placement of students into English and math one or more of the following: high school coursework, high school grades, and high school grade point average.
