Description:
The Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area is outreaching for 2 Maintenance Workers, WG-4749-07 to be located in Mountain Gate, California. These will be permanent, seasonal positions with an 18/2 tour of duty (18 pay periods guaranteed/2 payperiods call when needed).
Requirements:
Works independently or with assistance from helper or crews to perform recreation facility maintenance.
Performs a variety skilled task’s for alteration, repair, maintenance and minor construction of buildings, grounds, fixtures, utilities and equipment related to land and water based recreation at Shasta Lake.
Works to solve maintenance and repair related problems involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, concrete, roofing, painting and mechanical skills.
Performs annual condition surveys for buildings, drinking water and wastewater systems.
Provides input for facility planning projects and reviews contract drawings.
Provides annual inspections, maintains records and performs maintenance and repair to Forest Service owned boat fleet and other mechanical equipment.
