About the Coaches...
Head Coach Brad Rupert is a 1984 graduate of Vacaville High School. Coach Rupert started his college baseball career at Cosumnes River College and finished it at CSU-Chico, where he played for two years. Brad completed his B.A. degree at Chico in 1991. Coach Rupert coached the highly successful Chico American Legion team for three years, as well as the Anderson Bucs American Legion team, also for three years. Coach Rupert was an assistant coach at Shasta College under former head coach Brad Peek from 1992 through 1996. Brad is entering his ninth year as head coach of the Knights. Brad and his wife Molly have been married for eleven years and have two daughters, Reilly, 7 years old in June, and Calley 5 years old in June.

Frank Bowne graduated from Modesto High School in 1987 and then pitched two years at Modesto Junior College. From 1990 to 1991, Bowne played for the Chico State Wildcats and was named team captain in ‘91. He graduated with a BA in Physical Education in 1994. Coach Bowne, started his coaching career at Pleasant Valley High School in Chico and was the pitching coach for the highly successful Chico American Legion team from 1992-94. In 1995, Coach Bowne was named the pitching coach for Modesto Junior College, where eight of his pitchers were drafted and numerous others received scholarships to four-year universities. Coach Bowne is also involved with private pitching instruction for kids of all ages. Frank is single and calls his ‘59 Corvette his only baby. He also drives part-time for Canteca Foods.
Ryan Baley is a graduate of Tulelake High School where he had a very successful baseball career. He led his team to two Evergreen League Championships, four consecutive playoff appearances, and won a Division IV North Section Championship his senior year. He was named the Evergreen League MVP his junior and senior year, and was named the Division IV’s MVP his senior year. Baley was first team all section all four years of his varsity baseball career. After graduating high school, he continued his baseball career with the Knights where he played in the 2008 season for Brad Rupert, before taking this coaching opportunity. He looks forward to this season and feels very privileged to be given this opportunity at such a young age.
