The Student Senate of Shasta College, in partnership with the Shasta College Veterans Club, faculty, staff, administrators, and local vets, have created a Veterans Grove on the Shasta College main campus at 11555 Old Oregon Trail, in Redding, California. The grove was created to give our students, faculty, staff, and public donors a visual reminder of the sacrifices made by those who have served or are currently serving in our nation’s Armed Forces.

Sponsored by donors making contributions through the Shasta College Foundation, incense cedar trees have been planted behind the school mascot, just off the campus quad area. The public is invited to a dedication ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. Please join our campus community at the dedication ceremony honoring our men and women of the Armed Forces, both past and present.
