Academic Achievement

Each year in the spring semester EOPS holds a ceremony to honor full-time students in good standing who have achieved a GPA of 3.00 or higher during at least one semester of the previous calendar year. Certificates are awarded for the semester with the highest GPA using the criteria below.

Award Certificate Criteria

  • Distinction 4.00 GPA
  • Excellence 3.99 - 3.50 GPA
  • Merit 3.49 - 3.00 GPA

EOPS/CARE Student of the Year Scholarships

EOPS and EOPS/CARE students who are full-time, have earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the previous Spring and Fall semesters, who consistently hold an EOPS status of good standing, and who have completed at least 20 degree applicable units will be invited to apply for EOPS and CARE Student of the Year. These distinctions are accompanied by a generous scholarship.
