STEPS AFTER
ACCEPTANCE
Once you
receive an acceptance letter or phone call from EOPS,
there are steps to complete before you can receive EOPS
services.
Steps to Receive EOPS Services:
NOTE- you
do not have to complete these steps in a particular order, but ALL steps must
be completed prior to receiving EOPS
services:
Step 1:
Give EOPS a copy of your current educational plan. Your initial educational plan must be at
least two semesters, (1) the semester that you will begin EOPS and (2) the following semester. If you need an Educational Plan, contact EOPS to schedule a counseling appointment.
NOTE: If
you have completed any college units, request a 1 hour appointment. If you have units from a college other than
Shasta and have requested the official copies be sent to Shasta College’s
Admissions and Records Office but they have not arrived, please bring an
unofficial copy to your counseling appointment.
Step 2:
Attend an EOPS New Student Orientation which is different than
a general Shasta College orientation. Contact EOPS
to sign up.
Step 3:
Give EOPS a copy of your Registration Receipt showing
that you are enrolled in at least 12 units.
If you must enroll in fewer than 12 units, then we need a copy of your
registration receipt plus either:
A waiver
from your DSPS (Disability Services and Programs for Students) counselor, or
An EOPS Part Time Status Waiver (registered in at least
9 units but less than 12). A limited
number of waivers are granted by the Director based on extenuating
circumstances.
After you complete the steps above,
you are eligible to receive EOPS services!
