Shasta College’s Student Senate has once again sponsored the “Giving Tree” for 2011. This annual event was geared towards helping Shasta College students in need, and their children, have a happy holiday season. In December of 2011, Secret Santas (i.e. staff, faculty, Student Senate and students that donated gifts, money or time), provided gifts to 130 children (10 more than last year!) .... Many parents walked away amazed at the generosity of the Secret Santas. Others were so grateful that someone was willing to care for their family. Some were moved to tears, knowing the joy that the gifts would bring their children. THANK YOU to those who participated.
