The Teaching Garden will be hosting three workshops in Sept. Please pre-register on-line: www.shastacollege.edu/EWD - click on "Pathways" or call (530) 242-7630. 1) "Four Season Gardening," Sat. Sept. 10, 10am to 11:30am, at the Community Teaching Garden. Presenter: Gerry Long, owner of Good Work Organic Farm. Fee: $15.00. 2) "Canning Fruit and Making Jam," Sat. Sept. 17, 9am to 12noon, Room 822. Presenter: Bethany Schaarschmidt, Shasta College Nutrition Instructor. Fee: $30.00. 3) "Growing Great Garlic and Onions," Sat. Sept. 24, 10am to 11:30am, Community Teaching Garden. Presenter: Gerry Long, who is also an Organic Inspector for the California Certified Organic Farmers. Fee: $15.00. He will have premium garlic seeds for sale.
