Hiram Oilar has been a Shasta College Foundation Executive Committee member for over nine years.  Representing eastern Shasta County, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Foundation. Hiram is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo earning his degree in Ag Business Management with a minor in Philosophy.

Hiram’s expertise is in the business of wild rice.  He is the owner of Oilar Wild Rice Marketing, a partner with his brother at Oilar Marketing and Management, managing director of Fall River Food Products, and a partner with Oilar Gluten Free Grain Processing and Marketing.  Hiram is also a certified life insurance agent.

Hiram serves on many boards in the North state.  He is currently president of the NoRTEC board, he continues to be a board member for SMART Business Resource Center where he has served for 18 years, and he is past president of the Fall River Valley Chamber of Commerce.  He is also a member of the Elks Lodge and the Grindstone Club. 

Being a person who loves sports, Hiram coached his children in soccer for 8 years, coached track at Fall River High School for three years as well as flag football.  He is the proud father of three boys and one girl.

When Hiram isn’t working, he can be found in the mountains snow skiing, or fishing in nearby rivers.
