Unfortunately, funding for this program is limited, and some students may not meet the Financial Aid criteria as outlined in “Who’s Eligible to Apply?” Therefore, applications may be denied due to not meeting eligibility award criteria or lack of funds.
If you have not done so already, we strongly encourage to Apply for Financial Aid. If you have any questions about the financial aid application process, you can contact the Financial Aid office via email at financialaid@shastacollege.edu or phone at (530) 242-7650.
No, an award from this fund does not need to be repaid.
A wonderful way to “pay it forward,” however, would be to submit a short note, photo, or video of thanks along with a release form (PDF) to foundation@shastacollege.edu. Sharing the impact that this type of funding makes in students’ lives helps us to continue raising funds for programs like these!
Please contact us if you have any questions about how to submit your thanks.
Why Donate to Survive & Thrive?
In the last three years Shasta College students have collectively experienced some of the greatest challenges our state, nation, and now world have faced. Fires, snow storms, global pandemics…yet, our students still struggle on. Many are suffering from survivor fatigue. Strong willed, but with spirits and finances battered many sacrifice life’s essentials just to attend class and earn their degree. We at the Shasta College Foundation believe that there’s a better way.
We believe that it’s not enough just to survive. Just like you, we want our students to thrive! So, we’re asking you to come alongside with us as we start a fund that can help with basic life necessities for our students such as food, transportation (gas cards, bus passes), and clothing.
Help our students survive AND thrive. Join us today and make a donation to the Shasta College Student Survive AND Thrive Fund.
