STTJCCD Seeks Measure H Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee Members

Application Deadline:  Friday, September 17, 2021

The Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District is seeking two volunteers from the community to serve on the Measure H Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee.  The committee meets quarterly, and is charged with informing the public concerning the District’s expenditure of bond proceeds; reviewing expenditure reports and annual audits to ensure that bond proceeds are used only for the purposes set forth in Measure H; and preparing annual written reports summarizing the Committee’s proceedings and activities each year.

To qualify, you must be at least 18 years of age and be a member of the community at-large.  Applicants must be either a member of a College Support Organization (such as the Shasta College Foundation) or a Tehama County resident.  Employees, vendors, contractors and consultants of the Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District are prohibited by law from being members of the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee.

The appointment process calls for solicitation of applications after which the District Superintendent/President will review the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees.  The Board will make the final decision.  Although Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee members are not compensated for their service, the District and the local community appreciate the generosity of time and spirit shown by those who choose to serve in this capacity.
