To celebrate the International Education Week and promote future education exchanges between Shasta College and China, senior officials from the Education Department of the Chinese Consulate-General will visit the Shasta College Redding Campus. As a part of their visit, the officials will give a keynote presentation on Wednesday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m. on the Student Center Stage in the 2000 building of the Redding Campus. They will also meet with faculty, staff, and students and visit labs and teaching facilities.

Ms. Jun Tang, Educational Counselor and Ms. Renzhu Li, Consul of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco, will give the keynote presentation titled “Where Are We and Where to Go.” The presentation will include three parts: a brief discussion on the responsibilities of Education Office of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in San Francisco; a synopsis of the development of education in China; and the status and challenges of educational exchanges and corporations between China and the United States.
