Shasta College will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Student Services Building on October 23, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. on the Tehama Campus located at 770 Diamond Avenue in Red Bluff. The public is welcome and invited to attend this ceremony celebrating the expansion of services to the Tehama Community. The new 8900 square foot building will streamline the student enrollment experience which includes admissions and records, financial aid, counseling, and other student support services. The building will serve as the most recent addition to the current Tehama campus which opened in 2009.

The Student Services building will also include the campus’s first Veterans Center. The Veterans Center will include a student lounge, computer access, and study spaces. “One of our primary goals of Measure H was to improve the quality of services we provide to veterans,” said Dr. Joe Wyse, District Superintendent/President. “Having a new Veterans Center located at our Tehama Campus will provide our local veterans a convenient and inviting place that they can use to pursue their educational goals.”

The construction of the new Student Services Building in Tehama is made possible by voters’ approval of Bond Measure H in the 2016 general election. Shasta College is responding to voters’ confidence and expressed needs with the development of this project and other projects designed to improve job training, public safety training facilities, and improve campus infrastructure through upgrades and repairs.
