REDDING, CA  –  The Shasta College Evacuation Center has reached maximum capacity for families and individuals displaced by the Carr fire. In coordination with the American Red Cross, Shasta College will not be accepting new evacuees until further notice.  Current evacuees will continue to receive shelter, food, water, and medical services.

The American Red Cross has established Evacuation Centers at Crosspoint Church, 2960 Hartnell Avenue and Grace Baptist Church, 3782 Churn Creek Road.  Both locations are accepting new evacuees and have shelter, food, water, and medical services available. For any medical needs or issues please visit or contact your closest emergency care provider or call 9-1-1.

For volunteers please go to www.redcross.org/volunteer to signup to help. This service will filter for local efforts and assist in the process of registration. If you wish to contribute items other than water and new blankets, you can contact the following agencies:
