REDDING, CA  –  Shasta College has established two GoFundMe accounts to provide assistance to students and employees affected by the Carr Fire.

The Shasta College Student Fire Relief fund is focused on assisting the college’s student victims of the Carr Fire.  Current plans are to restrict the distribution of funds donated to scholarships for educationally-related expenses for students who have lost their homes.  Donations to this fund are tax deductible and will be managed by the Shasta College Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit that has a long history of helping Shasta College attain its mission.  Online donations can be made through the following link:  https://www.gofundme.com/shasta-college-student-fire.  If you prefer to send a check, please mail it to the Shasta College Foundation, P.O. Box 496006, 11555 Old Oregon Trail, Redding, CA 96049-6006.  Please add "Student Fire Relief Fund" to the memo line.

The Shasta College Employee Help Fund has been established to provide direct support through donations (non-tax deductible) to Shasta College employees affected by the Carr Fire.  Donations to this fund will help meet the needs of our employees over the coming weeks, and will be especially focused on those who have lost their homes.  Only online donations are being accepted which can be made through the following link:  https://www.gofundme.com/shasta-college-employee-help.

The students and employees of Shasta College appreciate any assistance provided, and thank you for your support and caring during this very difficult time.
