Shasta College Main Redding Campus Closure Update
Because of the continued proximity of the Fawn Fire to the main Redding Campus we have decided to have the campus remain closed tomorrow, Friday, September 24, 2021. All in-person instruction and services on the Main campus will be cancelled.

Because of the continued proximity of the Fawn Fire to the main Redding Campus we have decided to have the campus remain closed tomorrow, Friday, September 24, 2021. All in-person instruction and services on the Main campus will be cancelled. Current online courses will continue as planned while faculty teaching face to face courses will make adjustments as appropriate. The main campus closure will not affect any other campuses. Classes at the Downtown Health Science and University Center, Redding Public Library, Tehama, Intermountain, and Trinity Campuses will continue as scheduled.
We expect that this pause in operations will give enough time for the fire situation to be better resolved so we can return to normal operations on Monday of next week. If that turns out not to be the case, we will alert you via email by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday night.
Our thoughts are with all of our neighbors and friends being evacuated or under evacuation warnings. We hope for an expedient end to this latest challenge and commend you all for the resiliency and strength these tough situations continue to ask of us. Stay strong, and stay safe.
