California DREAM Act Application

The California DREAM Act Application (CADAA) allows you to be considered for the State’s Cal Grant program at community colleges, CSU’s, and UC’s. Follow these steps to apply for the CADAA.


California College Promise Grant

Apply for the CA College Promise Grant, which waives the $46/unit enrollment fee. Follow these steps to apply for the CCPG: Complete the California Dream Act Application.

Note: This application will not be finalized until your CA residency has been determined by submitting the AB540 Affidavit (California Nonresident Tuition Exemption Application).


Scholarships

Shasta College offers a wide range of scholarships through our own application process, and we advertise independent, external scholarships as well. Many of these scholarships do not require you to be a US Citizen or have a Social Security Number. More information, please visit Scholarships.

In addition to Shasta College scholarships, a non-profit organization called Immigrants Rising, has put together a list of private scholarships that do not require citizenship or social security numbers to apply. The list is organized by application deadline month, so you can apply for scholarships all year long. Extended Opportunities Programs and Services (EOPS)

Shasta College’s EOPS (Extended Opportunities Programs and Services) program can provide additional money for books and living expenses, access to a textbook lending library, plus you receive additional counseling resources to help you navigate your college and career goals. To be eligible, you must qualify for the CA College Promise Grant (CCPG). Apply after your submit your CCPG application.
