Updates from VA pertaining to COVID-19 Reductions, Withdrawals, Cancellations:

VA will infer Mitigating Circumstances

  • Chapter 33 students will receive benefit payments until the end of the month the drop/withdrawal occurred.
  • All other chapters (30, 1606, 35) will earn pay up until the drop/withdrawal date.
  • Follow the instructions included in Grading Options & Excused Withdrawals to request an Excused Withdrawal
  • Submit the EW request by the end of the term/last day of the course
Effect of in-person courses moving to online modality:

Chapter 33 recipients will continue to receive the in-residence housing allowance rate for all courses converting to online modality through December 21, 2021.

Remedial courses converting to online modality are payable for VA benefits.
