Michael McLean

Michael McLean joined Shasta College Campus Safety in December 2025. His professional background includes experience in probation, juvenile detention, and loss prevention, providing him with a strong foundation in public safety and community support.

In his role as a Community Service Officer, Michael serves as a resource for the Shasta College community, supporting campus safety operations and assisting students, staff, and visitors. He is currently focused on onboarding and training as he continues to grow within his position.

As a Shasta College alumnus, Michael was inspired to return and contribute to the campus community in a meaningful way. He enjoys learning more about the role of Campus Safety and expanding his knowledge and skills in the field.

Outside of work, Michael values spending quality time with his children, which he considers the most important part of his life. His top safety tip—“Trust your instincts”—reflects his belief in awareness and intuition as key components of personal safety. He is looking forward to continuing to expand in his role at Shasta College this year.
