Remote Assistance: SSC ZOOM Drop-In Hours
We have limited Zoom Drop-In hours that are meant to answer quick questions, show you how to navigate the Shasta College website or MyShasta, walk you through enrollment steps or help you find forms you might need. Get help with Open CCC Apply Admissions, California College Promise Grant, FAFSA or Dream Act Application, or Loan Application.
These are first come, first serve and you will be placed in a waiting room until it is your turn in the queue to meet one on one with a Student Success Facilitator. Zoom Drop-In hours for the SSC are:

How to prepare for your appointment
Before your appointment please make sure you are able to log in to your account, if you have not logged on to this website before please create an account.

Please also have your Form 1040/Tax Return from the previous year (if you are under the age of 24, you will also need your parents copy). If you were not required to file taxes, this is not necessary.
- For example, to apply for the 2023-24 academic year, please bring in 2021 Form 1040/Tax Return. For the 2024-25 academic year, please bring in 2022 Form 1040/Tax Return.
FAFSA
Before your appointment please make sure you are able to log in to your account, if you have not logged on to this website before please create an account.
If you are filling out your 22-23 FAFSA Form, please have your 2020 Tax Return/1040 Form. If you are filling out your 23-24 FAFSA Form, please have your 2021 Tax Return/1040 Form. The FAFSA Form corresponds with the Academic Year you are applying for Financial Aid (i.e. 22-23 covers Summer 2022, Fall 2022, and Spring 2023 Semesters). If you are under the age of 24 you will also need your parents' copy. If you or your parents were not required to file taxes, this is not necessary.
If you are under the age of 24, you will also need to have your parent create an account so they can e-sign your FAFSA. You will need to know the password and username for this account to complete the application, if your parent is not with you.

Before your appointment please make you are able to log into your Shasta Portal and MyShasta account.
Please make sure you have already completed the steps required to request a loan.
- Completed your Financial Aid File
- Current comprehensive educational plan
- Completed the iGrad Entrance Counseling
- Signed the Master Promissory Note
If you were unable to compete the Master Promissory Note, we can assist you during the appointment. However, everything else should be completed beforehand.
