Sending Transcripts to and from Shasta College

High School transcripts are used by our campus for the following purposes:

  • Determining placement in English and math classes
  • For students following graduation requirements in catalogs 2019-20 and earlier, determining if you have a high school class that can fulfill the Computer Literacy requirement
  • Confirming high school graduation status for course registration and financial aid purposes

If you haven’t already, ask your high school to send your official high school transcripts to:

If you have another college (or other colleges), you will need to request official transcripts from that college/those colleges to be sent to Shasta College’s Admissions/Records Office so our staff can evaluate them for potential transfer credit.

We suggest you get an unofficial copy of your transcripts from your other college(s) for your own records as well.  

We strongly encourage you to complete a Transcript Evaluation Form (PDF), which will start with a meeting with a Counselor to review which coursework from your other institution(s) is relevant to your current degree objective. The sooner you have that coursework evaluated, the sooner you will know exactly what you need to take here at Shasta College!

Official Shasta College transcripts are available to order. You can also print unofficial transcripts using MyShasta.

Important Message Regarding ​COVID-19: Transcripts

Dear Students,

Please know that we are working diligently​ to support you during this time. We are committed and prepared to support you while we work remotely.

​Transcripts available electronically or via US Mail
Transcripts are able to be sent in an electronic format or by US mail. Currently, there is not an option to pick up an official transcript in person.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Verification
We are currently unable to provide Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) verification with your transcript due to COVID-19 changes to our work processes. However, if you are a member of PTK and would like to provide confirmation of your membership to admissions officials or a potential employer, you may log in to the PTK website and complete a ‘Letter of Recommendation Request’. The letter will include information about the Society and confirmation of your membership.

You can print a free copy of your unofficial transcript through your MyShasta account following the steps below: 

  1. ​Log in to your MyShasta account
  2. Click on Unofficial Transcripts
  3. ​You can then print a copy or save a copy as a PDF of your unofficial transcript

If you have taken courses prior to 2003 that do not appear on your transcript, please e-mail your request to with the following information:

  • Full name including any prior last names
  • Student ID number or Date of Birth if you don’t remember your ID number
  • Copy of your Government issued photo ID
  • Statement that you attended prior to 2003

Shasta College has partnered with Credentials, Inc. to accept transcript orders over the internet through a secure website. Credentials, Inc. will facilitate your request 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. If you are not comfortable placing an order over the internet, you can call Credentials, Inc. at (847) 716-3005 to place your transcript request. There is an additional operator surcharge for placing orders over the telephone.

Regular Service $5.00 each; 4-5 business days to process*

*Please Note: $5.00 processing fee for the first two transcript(s)/verification(s) ever issued in a lifetime are waived.
Rush Service $15.00 each; 2-3 business days to process
FedEx Service Domestic orders (contiguous 48 states) - $30.00; only available when ordered online through Credentials, Inc. IGETC and GE Certification processing requires 7 to 10 business days for processing. Please allow up to 20 business days for processing during the beginning/end of each semester.  

Multiple requests are sealed in individual envelopes. We do not fax or email transcripts to the student.

​Electronic Transcript Certificate of Authenticity

Shasta College, located in Redding, CA has appointed Credentials Inc. as the designated agent for processing and sending official electronic transcripts on behalf of Shasta College. The PDF transcript that is produced using this service contains the identical information as the printed transcript and can be certified as unaltered by uploading the file to the company’s website that is provided during the delivery process. Credentials Inc. has been granted the authority to deliver all such electronic transcript requests on behalf of Shasta College and respond to any inquiries regarding the transactions.
