Shasta College held its grand opening of the Health Sciences and University Center located at 1400 Market Street in downtown Redding on September 22, 2007. Shasta College has long been recognized for excellence in the training of nurses and allied health personnel. The concept of a new Health Sciences Center was celebrated and supported by the medical and dental community. The Center houses fully-equipped laboratory spaces and classrooms and contains Shasta’s College’s Nursing and Dental Hygiene programs, as well as the Shasta County Community Health Dental Clinic. The location of the Center was chosen for its close proximity to both Redding hospitals for the students’ convenience during their clinical experience.  Students will also have access to Bachelor’s Degrees through educational partnerships with California State University, Chico and other universities.

The Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District is proud of its educational offerings in the North State, and of its contributions to the communities it serves.
