Wellness Coaching
If you've ever considered enhancing your own wellbeing and guiding others on their journey to health, Shasta College offers degrees and certificates to help you cultivate wellness in your life while developing the skills to empower others.
These programs emphasize understanding human behavior, social influences, and lifestyle factors that affect overall quality of life. Students develop skills to help others make positive changes through guidance, education, and evidence-based strategies related to social support, health, and behavior change. Graduates are prepared to work in a variety of service-oriented settings such as community organizations, healthcare environments, and social service agencies, where they can contribute to improving both individual and population-level well-being.
Within the Nutrition programs, you can earn either an Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate or a Health and Wellness Coaching Noncredit Certificate. Within the Human Services programs, you can earn an associate in science in Human Services with two pathways to complete the degree: Social Work/Family Studies or Youth Wellness Coaching.
