This is a unique time for our prospective students who wish to enter a Nursing and other healthcare professions. The current healthcare professional shortages and the increasing needs of state, nation, and global economies encourage us all to remain healthy and ensure wellness for people everywhere.

As faculty and staff of the Shasta College Health Sciences, we are committed to lead our school for health professionals to excel in all aspects of the academic enterprise – theory and practice.  We are committed to offering the most innovative approaches to Health Sciences education, including clinical simulation with interactive high fidelity mannequins, online education, and paperless and electronic documentation of patient care. All programs have state of the art simulation lab settings for learning and practicing skills prior to actual clinical experiences in local health care facilities. The Dental Hygiene program includes operation of our own clinic, providing essential oral health services to community members at an affordable rate.

I feel very fortunate to lead the Health Sciences Division, its talented faculty and staff, and our many community partners. I hope you will consider joining us at our beautiful downtown Redding Health Science and University Center campus.
