Project Coordinator - Senior (Strong Workforce)
Sara serves as the Senior Project Coordinator for the Strong Workforce Program within Shasta College's Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) department. In this role, she oversees a transformative grant program that launches innovative Career Technical Education (CTE) programs and enhances existing ones to meet emerging industry demands. She supports initiatives that contribute to student success by helping facilitate pathways to high-wage careers while assisting in the development of programs that prepare skilled professionals for local and regional economies.
With comprehensive oversight of EWD's grant budget portfolio, Sara provides valuable guidance and ensures precise fiscal reporting across multiple programs. Her deep understanding of both educational administration and financial management stems from over two decades of experience at Shasta College, where she has served in various strategic roles since 2002.
Sara began her career at Shasta College in Student Services, where she developed a profound appreciation for supporting students facing economic and educational challenges. Her subsequent positions as District Accounting Technician and Administrative Secretary for Enrollment Services broadened her institutional expertise before joining EWD in 2018.
Embodying her commitment to continuous learning, Sara earned her Master of Business Administration in 2018. This achievement, combined with her extensive experience in student services and administration, enables her to bring a unique blend of business expertise and student-centered perspective to her current role.
