Theresa Markword

Ms. Theresa Markword is the Interim Associate Vice President of Facilities and Capital Construction at Shasta College, a rural Northern California community college with a service area of over 10,000 square miles. Her current position includes financial management and construction oversight of the $139 million Measure H general obligation bond and other capital improvement projects, as well as facilities and sustainability oversight.

Ms. Markword began her career at Shasta College in 2007 where she has held various positions including Director of Innovation and Special Projects and Bond Program Manager. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Golden Gate University, and an MBA from National University. Originally from the Bay Area, Ms. Markword has lived in Redding for 20 years where she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family and working in the garden. She has a passion for creating welcoming spaces that foster student and community engagement.
